Unbeatable

As part of Respect Matters and other training, we use lots of different tools, including films, theatre and script reading.

The first young trainers in Bedfordshire were keen for us to have our own film to use about young people living in care so they had some ownership of what we were using.
We began with a monologue called Jo’s Story, but in 2006 with funding from Bedfordshire County Council and the Local Rural Network Fund we produced a half hour drama called Unbeatable!

Unbeatable was made in partnership with local production company Moon Watcher Media and has now

been seen by hundreds of people and used in a wide variety of training situations.

The film tells the story of Rob, a young man of 17 about to leave care and move into independent living.Through flash back we meet his many social workers and foster

carers, learn about his experiences of the care system and watch thepositiverelationships he builds with some people along the way.
